Winter can be tough on our skin, but with a few simple tweaks, you can keep it soft, hydrated, and glowing all season long. Here are some easy ways to help your skin feel comfortable.

Dial Down the Water Temperature

Hot water might feel amazing, but it can strip your skin’s natural oils, leaving it dry. Keep your showers warm, not hot, to help preserve moisture–if you feel so inclined for a hot shower or bath, remember to double up on moisturizer when you get out–make sure your skin is still damp!

Rejuvenating with a Steam Room

If you have access to a steam room, make it part of your routine once or twice a week. It’s a fantastic way to rehydrate your skin and open up pores, letting the moisture really sink in.

Adding Body Oil

After you shower, reach for a body oil. Apply it while your skin is still damp and pat dry to lock in that hydration. This simple step can really lock in moisture and help skin feel smooth all day. This is also an essential step if you’re looking to apply faux tan to liven up your skin.

Cut Back on Caffeine

While caffeine is a go-to for energy, it can also be dehydrating. Try reducing caffeine intake and explore alternatives like herbal teas or mushroom “coffee” for a hydrating boost.

Exfoliate Gently

Adding a gentle exfoliator can work wonders for removing dry skin and making way for a fresh, radiant layer underneath. Aim to exfoliate once or twice a week.
